After much preparation in 2018, time had finally come on 01 February 2019. Abrantix d.o.o. was officially opened. Situated in the best location, in the up-and-coming, modern industrial area of Koper in Slovenia. The key to our new office was handed over directly in front of the gates of the Mediterranean port. Abrantix management from Zurich did not miss the opportunity to celebrate this event together with their Slovenian robotics developer and production manager, Marko Bergamasco.

Robotics

Much has happened since Abrantix released the first prototypes of the EFT/POS Terminal Testing Robot back in 2017. Thanks to numerous trade shows and partnerships with companies such as UL and IntelliQA, order intake in 2018 exceeded all expectations. Not only the EFT/POS Terminal Testing Robot gained a lot of attraction, but also the Card Multiplexer has been well received by our international customers. “I am very much looking forward to the new, spacious premises,” said Marko at the handing over of the keys. In order to ensure production volume last year, Marko had to operate with a lot of creativity and some compromises. “That’s in the past now and I can produce larger series of the individual components together with my team,” said Marko.

Investment in the future

“The signs are still pointing to expansion.” This is not only stated in an article about the port of Koper, which is to grow from 280 hectares to 400 hectares by 2020, but also is also valid for Abrantix. Not exactly in these gigantic masses, but Abrantix d.o.o. is prepared for an annual production of several hundred robots starting in mid-2019. The new premises are not only equipped for the development and production of robots, but also offer enough space for the expansion of our payment software development crew.
